Christmas message from Miss Elliott

Chritmas message from Miss Elliott  (17-12-21)

As we come to the end of this term, I breath a large sigh of relief!

I am so thrilled we have been able to achieve, this Christmas season, our ambitious goal which we shared with you all earlier in the term. It has been lovely to be able to give parents and carers the opportunity to see their children, in person, for one of our Christmas celebrations. We are so grateful to Mr Lawson, our Chair of governors who opened and cleaned the church so we could hold all our Carol Services at English Martyrs’ church.

I am so proud of how we have all worked together; staff, governors, pupils and families, to ensure we had beautiful celebrations, at the same time still following our COVID measures to make sure we were all safe.

September seems like a distant memory. It has been a very busy, at times COVID challenging, but still a successful term for our staff and pupils.

At the heart of our teaching and learning, preparations for Advent, Carol Services, Nativity performances and Christmas activities, we are mindful of the need to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. People all over the world will be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ and sharing in the joy that this brings.

The Christmas holiday’s will be filled with even more joy for Miss Murray, our Year 3 teacher as she will be getting married!! I’m sure you will join me and wish her and her husband to be a very happy and blessed marriage. We look forward to welcoming the new Mrs Stubbs when we return in January!

The staff and I would like to thank you for the cards, gifts and kind words that you have given us this year - we really do appreciate them.

We are all looking forward to the Christmas break and our whole staff team would like to wish you all a very happy, holy and joy filled Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

We look forward to seeing you all in the New Year when we return to school on WEDNESDAY 5th January 2022.
