Youth Friday & Children In Need - Friday 19th November
We have always celebrated Youth Friday in school each year and this year, Youth Friday has been renamed Youth FUNday. It will be celebrated nationally on Friday 19 November, the Friday before the Feast of Christ the King. Pope Francis has asked Catholics around the world to renew their celebration of youth and young people on Christ the King Sunday it is now called World Youth Sunday. The theme this year is ‘Witness: Share what you have seen’.
So, in response to this call – we will combine our Youth FUNday with Children in Need, which; as a charity has the celebration of children and young people at its heart, and the children can come to school dressed in spots or yellow. A donation of £1 per family would be greatly appreciated which will go to these charities.

One of our parents has kindly alerted us to the potential suspension of Stagecoach buses that are planned to take place over coming weeks.
We know we have some children who come to school via public transport so we thought it would be best to alert you.
It seems it is highly likely that Stagecoach bus service will be suspended on Monday 8th November 2021, so if you rely on Stagecoach services you may need to find an alternative mode of transport for that day. Further strike dates could follow on November 10,12,16,18,20,22,24,26,30 and the 2nd and 4th December.
Parking in surrounding streets.
We have communicated extensively about our concerns regarding parking on Netherby Drive, but it seems some adults are parking, and driving away without due care and attention in our surrounding streets. We have been informed of a child, walking on the pavement with an adult, nearly being hit by a car reversing out of a parking space. Could I again stress, if you need to use a car, please be considerate to all residents and people using the pavements. The safety of our children is more important that convenience.
