Nursery Provision for September 2021
We are delighted that you have chosen English Martyrs’ Catholic Primary school for your child and we are excited to welcome them to our Nursery and our wider school family in September.
Further to our previous information letter, dated 16 June 2021, we have now received preferences for the days of provision.
If you selected 'no preference' or did not reply with your preference, then we have allocated the days of provision for you.
You will receive a letter with the confirmation of your preference, as well as start dates within the next few days. Please allow time for the letter to arrive before contacting the school office.
A reminder of the preferences as shown below:
Monday 9.00am – 3.15pm
Tuesday 9.00am – 3.15pm
Wednesday 9.00am – 11.30am
Wednesday 12.45pm – 3.15pm
Thursday 9.00am – 3.15pm
Friday 9.00am – 3.15pm
Children would need to bring in a packed lunch to having during lunchtime on their full days.
I’m sure you will all be aware that the current Covid restrictions were extended beyond 21st June so we have had to make some changes to our plans for transition events and end of year activities. We have received additional guidance from Health and Safety and Public Health about Covid safety measures. Unfortunately, as a result of the new guidance, we have had to curtail plans for events where we would normally have parents/family members in attendance.
We know that one of the best ways to get to know a school is to visit. Sadly the changes to the guidance prevents us from being able to host any ‘stay and play’ sessions or visits for ‘new starters’ before the end of term.
We are however delighted to be able to share with you a virtual tour and an information video that we have filmed of the school's early years provision and information from our EYFS Phase leader, Mrs S. Foster. The videos and other key information can be found on the Nursery information page, by clicking here
In addition, we have arranged for Mrs Foster, our EYFS phase leader and Nursery teacher to give parents a telephone call to introduce herself, chat with parents and answer any questions you may have before starting with us in September.
The telephone calls will take place on the following days:
Preference 1 - Monday 12th July
preference 2 - Friday 16th July
Time slots have been allocated which will be in your welcome letter.
We appreciate that these changes are not what we had hoped for however, We do hope that this helps support with your child’s transition into school and we look forward to welcoming them into our school properly in September
